Non-conformism, rebellion, experimentation, originality. Music as a powerful form of communication has inspired generations of people above and below the stage.
In the mid-1980s, in response to the unbridled commercialization of the myth of rock stars and major record projects closed in a glossy world, a new artistic current began to emerge under the need for “Do It Yourself”. Impatient with the mechanisms of the record industry, new artists present themselves to the public with a completely different approach. A creative wave that will bring, over the next three decades, a breath of unexpected originality, projects that outside the logic of commercial production are free to express experimentation and intransigence as perhaps not happened since the 60s and 70s. Indie Rock, the Indie Pop and the New Wave become an alternative world to pre-packaged labels and express a category of curious enthusiasts, eager to break down the limits of a preconfigured world.
